The Chinese Union Mission is located in Hong Kong and is overlooking a region with a population of over 1.4 billion. It was established in June 1999, after the merger of the East Asia Association and South China Island Union Mission. As of October 2019, it has been attached to the General Conference.
In this region, there are Adventists worshiping at 3,808 churches and a membership of 476,352. There are currently 121 un-entered cities with a population of 500,000 or more that have no Adventist presence (December 2019).
The denomination operates AAA accredited schools such as Hong Kong Adventist College, Hong Kong Adventist Academy and Chinese Adventist Seminary. Also operated by the denomination are local government-recognized hospitals such as Hong Kong Adventist Hospital in Tsuen Wan and Hong Kong Adventist Hospital on Stubbs Road.
