Unión de Oriente Medio y Norte de África

La Unión de Oriente Medio y Norte de África abarca a veinte países. Sus límites son Marruecos al oeste, Irán en el este, Turquía al norte y Sudán en el sur. La región cuenta con una población de alrededor de 500 millones de habitantes.

La región cuenta con 220 ciudades que tienen más de un millón de habitantes cada una. Los idiomas de la región incluyen el árabe, el turco, el bereber, el persa, francés e inglés.

La denominación opera la Universidad de Oriente Medio en Beirut (Líbano), que fue establecida en 1939. Es una de las instituciones de enseñanza superior más antiguas del país.
