Centro Leste Africana

A Divisão Centro Leste Africana é composta por 11 países. Em meio a uma população de cerca de 307 milhões de pessoas. A Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia conta com mais de 2,5 milhões de membros adorando em mais de 11 mil igrejas.

Essa Divisão abriga a Universidade Adventista da África, no Quênia, que oferece treinamento teológico a pastores de todo o continente. Possui ainda, outras universidades e várias escolas de nível fundamental e médio.

A Igreja em Ruanda tem mais de meio milhão de membros e é benquista pela comunidade. Os ruandeses são obrigados a prestar serviços comunitários para o desenvolvimento básico do país no último sábado de cada mês, mas o governo permite que os adventistas desempenhem essas funções no domingo, para que possam guardar o sábado.

A Agência de Desenvolvimento e Recursos Assistenciais Adventista (ADRA) tem grandes operações em toda a Divisão.

Abel Kirui, atleta queniano, corredor de longas distâncias, é membro da Igreja Adventista, e ganhou a medalha de prata na maratona masculina nas Olimpíadas de Londres no verão de 2012.
