Le Moyen-Orient et de l’Afrique du Nord

L’Union du Moyen-Orient et de l’Afrique du Nord est composée de 20 pays. La région est bordée par le Maroc à l'ouest, l'Iran à l'est, la Turquie au nord et le Soudan au sud. La population de la région est d'environ 500 millions d’habitants.

Cette région compte 220 grandes villes qui ont chacune une population de plus de 1 million d’habitants. Les langues parlées comprennent l'arabe, le turc, le berbère, le farsi, le français et l'anglais.

L’Eglise gère l’Université du Moyen-Orient à Beyrouth, au Liban, qui a été créée en 1939. Il s’agit de l'un des établissements d'enseignement supérieur les plus anciens du pays.
