Map of Inter-American Division

The Inter-American Division (IAD) is comprised of Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and the five northernmost countries of South America. This division reports more than 3.5 million members, making the division the church’s most populous region.

There are roughly 11,000 Adventist churches in this division, which is home to a population of nearly 280 million.

IAD is home to 13 Adventist universities. The region also operates 13 major hospitals, located in Belize, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Venezuela and three in Mexico.

Other major organizations within this division include the Inter-American Adventist Theological Seminary, which offers graduate-level religious education to pastors and teachers on the campus of 10 affiliated Adventist universities and seminaries. Adventist Health Services in IAD serves as an association of all the Seventh-day Adventist healthcare institutions in the division.

In an effort to share the gospel throughout the region, IAD oversees nine media centers, seven radio stations and numerous Internet radio ministries.
