News Bulletin 06 - Fiery Furnace

Ancient News February 26, 2020

King Nebuchadnezzar commanded all seven classifications of Babylonian governmental officials to bow down and worship an enormous statue (90 feet high and nine-feet wide) that was recently built in the image of his god, Nabu. The image is built entirely of gold, no doubt indicating Babylon, in seeming defiance of the dream given to the king by YAHWEH, which featured a statue of a variety of metals that indicated a transition of power to different future kingdoms.

The ruler’s decree allowed for no exceptions regardless of religion or ethnicity.

Violators of the new worship policy would be incinerated in a purpose-built furnace.
