For the first time, Adventist Television Network brings you a behind-the-scenes look at the Adventist Church leadership at work. The ATN World Weekly Broadcast on May 10/11 will feature a special report prepared by Adventist News Network on Spring Meeting 2002. Broadcast in 12 languages, it will explore issues that topped the agenda at last month's meeting of some 250 church leaders from every corner of the world. They came together at the church's world headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA, to hear reports, make plans, and to help chart the future course of the world church.

In this special half-hour report we look at some of the key actions taken at Spring Meeting--a restructure of the church in Africa; a new Adventist statement on peace; plans to dramatically step up the Adventist response to the HIV/AIDS crisis; and, a recommitment to tackling what leaders are calling "the biggest mission challenge facing the church today." And in an exclusive interview Pastor Jan Paulsen, president of the Adventist world church, shares his perspective on Spring Meeting, and reflects on some of the core values of Adventism.
