Initiatives and Projects |
Tell the World is a vision for how the gospel of Jesus will be shared by the Seventh-day Adventist Church from 2005-2010. It focuses the church on its identity as a called out community and its end time mission of proclaiming the gospel to “every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people” (Revelation 14:6 KJV). The vision is clear: to invite every person in the world to respond to the good news about Jesus and His soon coming.
Sow 1 Billion is a world church initiative to distribute 1 billion special invitations to study the Bible. Adventist Church members around the globe--no matter what their age, background or experience--are taking part in this unprecedented effort to connect people with God's word.
The Go One Million initiative is mobilizing an unprecedented number of Adventist lay people for evangelism. Go One Million, which originally aimed to equip 1 million Adventist lay people with training and materials for mission outreach, now has more than 2 million active participants around the world.
Growth, Unity and Quality of Life have been identified as three core values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church . These values represent the essence of Adventist mission, and they shape the way this rapidly growing world church community makes decisions, uses its resources, and sets priorities.
The Year of World Evangelism 2004 is a call to Seventh-day Adventists around the world to become involved in outreach--whether through public evangelism, personal witness, Go One Million, Sow 1 Billion, or any other way of sharing the message of Jesus Christ with people in our cities and neighborhoods. |
