Baasansuren Overhangai

Baasansuren Overhangai

Being a teenager can be tough. Being one in Mongolia, living in a round, felt tent called a ger with your parents, four sisters and three brothers can be a real challenge. Baasansuren Overhangai used to escape by going to bars with her friends. One day, a classmate invited her to church. It was "weird," at first, but there was also something peaceful about it. A series of answered prayers convinced her that God was real. "I plan to be baptized soon," she says. "When I am old enough, I want to be a missionary and tell others about Jesus." Baasansuren still comes home to a round, felt tent every evening, but there is peace in her heart because someone invited her to church.
