Dimitry Losev

Once every day and twice on the Sabbath I preached for two weeks--and I'm not a preacher. I am from Russia, came for schooling to Pacific Union College in California, and found myself in Ghana, preaching the same message that had changed my life; the message about Jesus. A Muslim girl who heard me chose to be baptized, in spite of serious threats from her family. I prayed with her while she made her decision. That wasn't the only miracle we students witnessed as part of our Adventist Volunteer Service. Sixty-five others gave their lives to Jesus in response to our "non"-preaching. And then a local pastor told me I was the first Russian and the first white man to have preached in the Bremang church in Ghana and the members had voted to name their Christian elementary school after me. Wow! When you serve God, He changes lives, including your own.
