Vlad Baciu

When his father moved the family from Romania to Greece to pastor Romanian Adventists in Athens, Vlad Baciu had to learn another language to communicate with people in Greece. But the teenager already had another means of communication—his music. Vlad began helping his father in the church by leading out in music,  including playing the piano. He recently represented the Adventists in Greece at a music conference covering northern and eastern Europe and the United Kingdom. The 17-year-old faces some grown-up issues when some adults come to him and say “We don’t understand the music you are playing.” Vlad says he will let God lead him as he tries to play the music of his generation while still reaching other members of his church.
